Employment & Training Opens Regulars Office Hours in Lockport Office

The Niagara County Department of Employment & Training will now be open two days a week, on Mondays and Fridays, between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at its Lockport Office, 139 Niagara St. in Lockport.    Anyone needing the services of the department is welcome to walk-in during those hours.  Previously, the office was open by appointment only.  The new hours begin April 15.

“Our main office remains at the Trott Access Center in Niagara Falls, but we opened the Lockport office in the Civil Defense Building last June as kind of a trial run to see if we could be better serve the eastern end of the county and the response to our limited operations has been strong,” said Don Jablonski, Director of Employment & Training.  “We believe going to limited, regular hours will provide additional opportunities for job seekers to take advantage of our programs.  If we continue to see demand, we can further increase our hours of operation.”
